Climate Change & Health: Impacts, Solutions, and You


Description: This webinar is intended to provide support for health educators to speak about, act upon, and advocate for climate solutions that protect personal and community health.  This will be done through three focus areas:

1.Making the connection between climate and health.

2.Discussing ideas and sharing resources for people to take action in their homes and in their community.

3.Empowering participants to share the information and invite others to join in calling for equitable climate solutions.

Objectives:

1) By the end of the event, participants will have increased their knowledge about the impact of climate change and health, as well as the underlying causes of these health issues.

2) By the end of the event, participants will have increased their knowledge about the available evidence indicating the connection between climate change and health issues.

3) By the end of the event, participants will be able to identify factors which can facilitate or hinder advocacy efforts around climate change and health.

MN SOPHE members can receive 1.0 Category 1 CHES free!
Nonmembers can pay $10 for credit upon post-evaluation

Who should participate:  Public health professionals and students, healthcare professionals,  workplace wellness coordinators, health or wellness coaches

FREE for all participants, and 1.0 CHES or MCHES free for Mn SOPHE Members.  For nonmembers: 1.0 CHES or MCHES are $10.  All participants will receive a certificate of attendance after participating and completing evaluation form.
