Her personal mission is derived in part from an inspiring quote from Dr. Tornabene (Professor at UMD): 'All things in pursuit of prevention, community wellbeing, and that which resonates between heartbeats'. This included contributing to a milestone policy in prevention work (raising the tobacco age from 18-21) in rural communities, advocating for this issue in the state of Minnesota, and developing new youth initiatives around the state. Currently, Taylour has served two years at the Carlton, Cook, Lake, St. Louis Community Health Board (CCLS CHB) as a Regional SHIP coordinator contributing to Active Living, Healthy Eating, Commercial Tobacco Free, and Wellbeing work in 7 counties within Northeast Minnesota. Her Mission and Values continue to evolve as she is currently pursuing a certification in Connected Leadership.
